Since 2009, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus has been an esteemed teacher at SeekersGuidance, where he not only contributes to the spiritual and intellectual growth of the community but also offers some of the most popular courses. The Founding Director of Al-Maqasid, Shaykh Yahya envisions the facilitation of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan through immersion in the Prophetic Inheritance. His educational journey began at the traditional school of Murabit al-Hajj in the desert of Mauritania shortly after his conversion, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to the realization of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan.

The concept of Al-Maqasid emerged from Shaykh Yahya’s own journey, which continued at the acclaimed school Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, under the guidance of the renowned scholar and spiritual guide Habib Umar Bin Hafiz. Graduating from Dar al-Mustafa and returning to the United States, Shaykh Yahya pursued studies in various academic institutions, culminating in a PhD in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge, England.
